Located in the heart of downtown Petaluma is the historic Herold Building on the corner of Kentucky and Washington’s streets was built in 1899 by Angela Conepa who lived only a few doors up the hill in the beautiful Victorian located at 223 Kentucky Street on the other side of Hotel Petaluma. The building is known for it’s signature architecture with round windows, detailed turrets and a cap that was added later to crown the corner. It was occupied by Harry Herold – a druggist – who eventually became the sole owner of the building in 1923 and carries his name to this day.
