101 Petaluma Blvd N Petaluma CA 94952
Own a piece of Petaluma history! Built in 1926, this iconic granite and terra cotta building at the corner of Petaluma Boulevard North and Western Avenue began as a bank and is currently home to a popular antique store. The three-level building still holds much of its vintage charm as an early century bank, including its solid and secure bank vault, original marble floors, carved stone walls, and intricately decorated ceiling.
Enter the main floor at street level through wood encased glass doors and note the floor to ceiling windows that bathe the room in natural light. From the side windows is a view of the Masonic Building’s town clock, adding to the Petaluma appeal of this historic building. The original bank vault with numerous iron gates has the feel of a secret passage, and the vault walls are now lined with dozens of glass cases.
Above the main level is the mezzanine, a large room that overlooks the main area and is reached by a switchback staircase with a classically designed wooden railing. A marble staircase leads to the lower level, offering more storage and space below street level, plus the building’s tile bathroom.
Located in the heart of Petaluma’s downtown, this notable commercial property is near local shops and restaurants, parking, and the tranquil Petaluma River that runs through the town’s center.
